We understand that the prospect of visiting the dentist for treatment or even a check-up can be daunting for some patients.

While we make every effort to make your visit as comfortable as possible and do everything we can to put you at ease while you’re here, we also offer intravenous sedation for adults for those times when you need a little extra help to relax.

Intravenous Sedation

At Gatrad and Associates, we use a form of “conscious sedation.” Your dentist will administer the medication via injection. You will still be awake during your procedure, but the sedative will ensure you stay calm and relaxed throughout. You may not even remember the procedure.

After your treatment, you will be given all the time you need to come around naturally. Our team of healthcare professionals will look after you until you’re ready to leave the practice. We recommend arranging for a chaperone to attend the appointment with you and take you home.
