Your First Appointment

From the moment you contact Gatrad & Associates we want you to have the very best experience to compliment what we believe is the very best in dental care.

If you are visiting us for the first time you will be greeted by one of our reception team who will make you feel welcome and answer any questions they can. There will be one or two brief forms to complete which are important to us in ensuring we provide you with the very best care. Your consultation will follow and this provides an opportunity for us to sit and chat about your general dental health, any concerns you may have and to establish your dental needs and how we can help you.

Your consultation includes a complete comprehensive dental examination.

Which will include a:

• Full and comprehensive examination of the inside and outside of your mouth and jaws
• Assessment of all the soft tissue inside your mouth
• Computerised digital record of your teeth
• Complete gum health assessment
• X-Rays (if required)
• Complimentary Scale and Polish (if no other treatment is required)

Should any treatment be required or requested, we will discuss this with you and answer any questions you may have. After careful consideration and planning, your own personal treatment plan will be put together for you detailing your treatment options and the costs involved. Our aim is that you are confident and relaxed about your dental treatment so we encourage you to ask us any questions to ensure that you feel fully informed and happy.

It may be that following your consultation your teeth and mouth are found to be in great shape. In this case, we will look forward to seeing you in around six months time for your routine examination and providing the care to maintain a bright, healthy smile. Should you wish, you can arrange to see our dental hygienist for an oral hygiene appointment, where you will have a thorough clean your teeth and gums, alongside give oral health advice to maintaining a healthy mouth.
