Pola™ Whitening is a versatile system that offers at-home or professional whitening. At-home whitening products are available with different ingredients in a variety of strengths, for use with a whitening tray during the day or at night.

PolaDay — This is an at-home whitening kit from Pola which can whiten the teeth in as little as 15 minutes of wear time each day. It also contains fluoride to keep your teeth strong throughout the process. PolaDay is available in five varieties:

• 3% hydrogen peroxide
• 6% hydrogen peroxide
• 7.5% hydrogen peroxide
• 9.5% hydrogen peroxide
• 35% carbamide peroxide

Higher concentrations of peroxide will provide faster results. Your dentist will recommend a lower concentration if you are prone to sensitivity.

PolaNight — As the name suggests, PolaNight is a variety of Pola’s at-home whitening technology that patients apply at night-time.

It uses a carbamide peroxide concentration, which is gentler than hydrogen peroxide and, therefore, more suitable for patients with sensitive teeth. According to Pola, 1% of hydrogen peroxide is the equivalent of 3% carbamide peroxide.

It comes in four varieties:

• 10% carbamide peroxide
• 16% carbamide peroxide
• 18% carbamide peroxide
• 22% carbamide peroxide

Again, higher concentrations will provide faster results but also increase the risk of tooth sensitivity. However, PolaNight also includes the company’s desensitising technology to reduce the chances of experiencing sensitivity during the treatment.

Pola™ also provides two varieties of extra-strength whitening gel for use by dentists, allowing patients to achieve maximum whitening performance safely in a single, 30-minute appointment.

• PolaOffice — With 35% hydrogen peroxide, only a dentist can apply this treatment. It can whiten teeth in 30 minutes and doesn’t require any method of acceleration like an ultraviolet light.
• PolaOffice+ — A stronger variant of Pola’s professional bleaching product with 37.5% hydrogen peroxide, for even whiter, brighter teeth.

Both products also contain desensitising technology to reduce the possibility of sensitivity. They are pH-balanced just like the company’s other whitening products, helping to protect your teeth and gums. Your dentist will also apply a special solution to the gums to protect them during any professional treatment.
