Veneers are an excellent way of disguising tooth imperfections. They are thin strips of porcelain bonded on to the front surface of a chipped, broken or discoloured tooth, shaped and colour-matched to blend in with the rest of your teeth.
Dentists recommend veneers as part of a smile makeover to close gaps and correct minor alignment issues, as well as disguising chips and other flaws.
Your dentist will take an impression of your mouth and send it off to a lab, where a technician will produce your custom veneers. Once they’re ready, your dentist will then remove a small amount of enamel from the front surface of your teeth.
Once the teeth are prepared, your dentist will bond your veneers to the front surface of your teeth with a special adhesive.
